So we’ve been sitting on this whole ‘Comune Clothing’ story for a few months now - not really sure whether they were going direct or if a Canadian distributor would pick them up. Well shit is finally official, effective immediately, Wick Winder Distribution will begin distributing ‘Comune Clothing’ of Costa Mesa, CA throughout Canada!
So why is this a big deal? Well it’s a big deal because Comune’s upcoming collection is pretty amazing. The collection offers forward silhouettes combined with quality fabrics at accessible prices to create a look that is equal parts high fashion and skate ready street wear. And… Comune isn’t just a skate brand - yeah, they’re also working with a number of snowboarders which includes Nima Jalali, Nick Dirks, Tim Eddy, Jon Kooley, Jordan Mendenhall, Matty Ryan, and Josh Mills.
Flashback to the GAP Session in Garmisch, Germany…February 2006. This was the first time David Benedek and company built their signature jump for a session/contest format. It was an invite only event that allowed for a week of riding, shooting and filming…with the rider voted awards ceremony on the final afternoon for best trick, most impressive rider and airtime.
